Works starts on site to install the new pavilion at North Sheen week commencing 14th September 2009.
The new pavilion will provide changing facilities, community room, disabled access, toilets and a café.
Car parking will not be provided in the park. The contract (anticipated) duration will be for 10 months.

After 9 years of hard work, KPR and the Council have been awarded £638,638 grant from the Football Foundation, the UK’s largest sports charity. The funding from the Football Foundation will see the development of a state of the art clubhouse at North Sheen Recreation Ground, home of Kew Park Rangers FC.

Richmond Council has been working in partnership with KPR and has allocated £350,000 from the borough capital programme for the scheme. KPR has raised over £50,000 through a range of fund-raising activities.

The proposed scheme will comprise a two-storey changing pavilion providing at ground floor level: four team changing rooms; two officials’ changing rooms; male and female spectator toilets; wheelchair accessible toilet; entrance lobby; cafeteria; kitchen; office; sports store; stair and lift access to 1st floor.

At first floor level: a club room; kitchen; office; male and female toilets; wheelchair accessible toilet.

Building works should start April / May 2009 and finish April / May 2010 approx.

The Football Foundation is dedicated to revitalising the grass roots of the game, constructing modern football facilities, developing football as a force for social cohesion and as a vehicle for education in communities throughout the country. Funded by the Premier League, The Football Association and the Government, the Football Foundation is the nation’s largest sports charity with a £40m budget going straight into the heart of football.
