Under 18 Ewan Sheldon - Winner May 2011
Ewan was the first player in KPR and he has been an ever present in the league sides. He has also been coaching younger players for the past 2 years. He has been keen to put something back into the club and preserve the traditions of players going on to become members of the coaching staff. To this end, a trophy has been developed bearing his name which will be awarded annually to the young coach of the year at the KPR award ceremony.
Under 18 Antonio - Winner April 2011
Antonio was captain of the U18s for 2010/11. He has always been a strong proponent of playing fair and drummed that into the side. He has been rewarded this year with the team going through the entire season without a single penalty point from the league.
Under 18 Jack Tench - Winner March 2011
Jake Tench has been the goalkeeper for the current U18s since the age of 7 and is very keen to help teach these skills to younger disabled players coming through. He has applied for voluntary positions through the summer to help make this happen. His patience and desire to help those who are keen to play despite their disabilities will make him a great asset.
Under 18 Hosain Lalee - Winner Feb 2011
Last Xmas the KPR U18s spent 2 hours on Xmas Eve playing against a team of Afghan refugees that were due to spend Xmas in the area. The event was a great success and all parties got a lot from it. Hosain – who plays for KPR - can speak Farsi and he helped to integrate all the players. Hosain is pushing to repeat this again next Xmas and is passionate about helping make it happen.
Under 15. William Bloomfield. Winner Jan 2011
Will has been a member of KPR since he was 6 years old---a total of nine years!
Although many new players have joined the team since then Will is always one of the first to welcome them to the group and include them in training exercises.
He has played almost every position for the team and is a regular attendee at training, matches and summer tournaments.
Will strengthens our team and our club by drawing in his family to KPR. Together they are quick to volunteer at social events and represent what KPR is all about----football in the community. Will is great at lightening the mood of the team. He is one of the jokers in the squad and can be guaranteed to lift morale at the end of difficult games. He is admired by his team mates as a key member, and for his sweet left foot!
Andrew Watt Morgan Winner Dec 2010
Andrew asked the club if he could help out, as he was taking his Duke Of Edinburgh award and needed to do voluntary work within the community as part of the award. That was four years ago and he is still helping out. Over the years Andrew has helped coach children from the ages of 4 to 8 and has a natural empathy with these age groups. He is a committed youth volunteer and is always a willing participant and ready to help no matter what he is asked to do.

Leader Award 2009 Nominated by J-F Burford and Rob Sheldon
Aston Ventour
Aston Ventour started coaching at KPR in 2006/2007. He had been at the Staines Football Academy as a player and was in his final year at Kingston College, where he passed his NVQ level 2 coaching Badge.
As a young 18 year old player Aston came to the club with no real coaching experience. He took over coaching a group of young players who felt deflated, disillusioned and frustrated at losing every week.
With his knowledge and love of the game, Aston quickly installed a new sense of fun, enthusiasm and a long lost sense of self belief back to the boys. They were now enjoying themselves again and even though they were not picking up many points from playing matches, they were picking up valuable coaching and life enhancing pointers from Aston during training.
The following season Aston kept coaching the same group of players and instilled a belief in them that bonded the players into a unified squad and for the first time they started to win more games then they lost.
Aston instilled a sense of not winning at all cost above learning and development of individual skills. A sense that if they played and conducted themselves in the right way, it did not matter whether they won or lost as long as they gave their best and if they did that, then no matter what the outcome of the game they would be winners.
This season the same squad of players’ have reaped the benefit from Aston’s philosophy, coaching and man management skills by finishing 3rd in their league.
His leadership skills have developed over the last 3 years with the club and Aston has grown to be a true motivator and mentor to all children inside and outside of the club. Local kids now and respect him, not only as a coach; but also as a person they can trust and call upon in a moment of need.
It is for all of these reasons and more that Kew Park Rangers Football Club nominate Aston Ventour for a Jack Petchey Leader Award.

Basil Al-Anil Nominated by Tim Pitt
Basil never moans or argues whether at training or during a game. He just gets on with being a highly reliable player. This means that sometimes when the praise is being handed out he is overlooked and his name does not come up. Would be surprised to receive this award which is why it makes it even more powerful.

May 2009 |
|
Connor Prince Nominated by J-F Burford
Connor believes that he is responsible for the performance of the whole team. He puts un-needed pressure on himself to perform at the highest level at all times, which means that he sometimes he does not recognise he owns self worth as a young person and not just a player.

In his spare time , he refs for the club

March 2009 |
|
Jacob Klasse Nominated by Rob Sheldon
Jacob has been injured for much of the season and developed with his father a way of recording all the key incidents during each match. This is a very detailed and complex report sheet. He turned up every week during his injury – home and away – to help record everything that took place and to support his team-mates. This was incredibly spirited of him as it was a very long, wet, cold winter. He then turns the information into a match report each week for all the players which they really look forward to. It has been a very good way of enhancing team spirit and everyone looks for their name in print. Once Jacob and his father have finished testing out their reporting system on the under 16 Rangers, it is very likely that the club will introduce it across the club as a whole.

February 2009 |

U12 player Toby receives February 09 Jack Petchey award
Toby has been with us since reception, when he arrived he was tall, thin, quiet and shy.
Over the years he has been training and playing with us he has developed in many ways.
He is still tall and thin, still quiet but a lot less shy, on the pitch he is moving on from a formidable left defender to an extremely able midfielder with a fabulous turn of speed.
His abilities and skill make a very adaptable player and he will play anywhere effectively.
But the most pleasing part of his maturing attitude is his ability to take responsibility. He has captained the U12s on numerous occasions, and is always the first to volunteer especially if the opposition looks tough.
His good nature and intelligent approach to training and playing make him a real pleasure to coach, but this doesn’t detract from his fierce determination and energy on the pitch, which has inspired and lifted the rest of the team on many occasions.

Alex Bukaka receives the Jack Petchey award for December 2008 from U16 Colts Manager Tim Pitt
Alex, AKA Koli to his friends and team, is a tall and powerful man, but that power as a player hides a person who is kind, respectful and full of fun. On the pitch Koli is a leader, a leader who is calm, who gives his all for 90 minutes. During training, Koli is attentive and listens to his coaches, always trying to improve his knowledge and develop his skills and all round game. He always arrives with a smile and always leaves with a smile on his face, no matter how wet, cold or hard the training session has been. Koli is a true gentle giant of a man, who deserves much respect and gets it back. Koli will achieve much in his life and deserves great success
